The award ceremony was held on April 25th 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At these awards, companies, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders and outstanding personalities are recognized for exuding excellence in their fields of business – won previously by prestigious global business leaders such as Muhammad Ali and Jimmy Choo.
The organizers of the event said this about the nominations:
“Since 2009, The Leaders International Magazine with the endorsement of several regional bodies has organized several leadership awards to recognize achievers. Winning this award, the 5th for Joanne and her organisation, serves to prove that ImmerQi continues to be a leader in the student travel industry.

The Region’s most impactful event, the Global Leadership Awards celebrates its 4th year in 2014. This much anticipated event is organized by The Leaders International, a high profiled business magazine and co-organized by American Leadership Development Association (ALDA), a US based NGO which showcases leadership at large. As in the past, the event is expected to convene and showcase the highest levels of Global Leaders representing the diplomatic, business, government, philanthropic, media, celebrity, and social sectors.
