Volunteer Program China, an ImmerQi program founded in 2011 was honoured as an ‘Outstanding Volunteer Group’ by the Hui Ling chain of Chinese community centres on Saturday March 1st 2014.

VPC has helped place volunteers at the organization for the last two years including Darren Wong and Brianna Dawson who assisted with the daily life of the trainees as well as the upkeep of the centres they were assigned to.

“It is a great honour for an NGO we work so closely with to take the time to thank ImmerQi and the other organizations and individuals who generously give their time to support such a great cause. Getting recognition from the community for this program is something that we will definitely cherish in the coming years as we continue to provide volunteers to Hui Ling,” said Kirsty Armstrong commenting on the award.

Hui Ling are an NGO that provides skills, support and raises awareness for people with disabilities in China. They have thirteen centres in Beijing, Lanzhou, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Xi’an, Changsha, Qinghai, Qingyuan and Hong Kong assisting in the lives of over 1,000 trainees to help them have a better quality of life.

Peter Gao of Hui Ling said of the award presentation:

“The staff use the spirit of a volunteer to get involved with us and to support the development of CSR. Explaining ImmerQi in three words I would say they provide great participation, support and cooperation in working with partners like Hui Ling and we value them greatly.”

This is not the first time that ImmerQi has won awards, winning twice at the JCI Socially Responsible Company Awards in Malaysis and twice at the ASEAN Outstanding business awards in 2011 and 2013.
