Immerqi Nominated For Youth Programs Award!| 2 min read

Winners of the 2011 ASEAN Outstanding Business Award, ImmerQi follow it up in 2012 with a chance at another award for our programs, this time recognised for the work we do in relation to Corporate Social Responsibility!

In 2011, all at ImmerQi were on a high after a great awards win at the ASEAN Outstanding Business Awards where Managing Director Joanne Wong picked up the honor with pride. In 2012, a second award win may follow as ImmerQi were nominated in the International Youth Education Programs category at the Socially Responsible Company Awards 2012!

The awards, due to happen on September 22nd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia are a result of the 2008 JCI Leadership Summit at the United Nations Resolution in which JCI recognised small and medium enterprises that best represent the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) concept based on the UN Global Compact.

At these awards, companies, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders and outstanding personalities are recognised who have excelled as being socially responsible based on four tenets of the UN Global Compact’s 10 principles – Environment, Human Rights, Labour Standard & Anti-Corruption.

All of ImmerQi’s programs give back to the community in one way or another; since 2005 Teach & Travel China has educated interns, taught students and internationalized schools as well as recent encouragement from all at ImmerQi to travel responsibly.

Of course the Volunteer Program China (VPC) has the most obvious links to CSR helping those in need through volunteering on a self sustainable farm! Additionally, the manager of VPC arranges several visits to NGO’s and works to bridge from NGO’s to the China Internship Program!

Regardless of the program though, everyone at ImmerQi will have their fingers crossed at the end of September!
