The program is open to recent high school graduates prior to university enrolment, current university students, and recently graduated students. You should be a native English speak or have an advanced level of English. If unsure, get in touch!

Naturally the earlier the better - placements are in high demand and the earlier we can source this for you, the more likely we’ll be able to meet your needs. Generally, the latest you can apply is 3 months prior to arrival to give enough time to arrange your placement and visa.

We have interns arriving all year round, so you’ll never be the only person in town! We deliver a variety of programs, and provide you with plenty of opportunities to meet all of our participants.

This will vary from company to company but you will be made aware of these when confirming your placement. Typically, a Chinese workweek is 38-40 hours, normally 9:30-5:30 Monday to Friday with an hour lunch break

Companies will have differing dress codes, which we will make you aware of ahead of time so you know what to pack. Smart casual is usually your best bet. In any case you should be able to buy anything you are missing here in China!

On top of your placement fee, you also need to consider your visa, flights and insurance. We can guide you on all of this upon application.

The biggest myth we come across! You do not need to speak Mandarin to join our program. We’ll give you all the essential language skills you need to go about your daily routine, and there is also the option to add additional Mandarin lessons to your package. At your work placement, your host company supervisor will speak English.

This will depend on whether you are receiving an allowance and whether the company pays this by cash or transfer. You may also wish to open a bank account for easy daily usage. It is free to open a bank account in China and our staff can help you do this!

Naturally the earlier the better - places are limited. Generally, 3 months prior to arrival provides
ample time to accept, arrange your visa and other preparations.

We have two intakes every year, each of them with 50-100+ teachers, so you’ll never be the only person in town! We deliver a variety of programs, and will provide you with plenty of
opportunities to meet all of our participants.

This will vary from school to school but typically a Chinese work week under the program is 1015 hours classroom teaching. This is supplemented by office hours (lesson planning, etc.) and combine to form a 30-35 hour work week.

Smart casual office wear. Full length trousers, at least knee length skirts and dresses. Tops shouldn’t be revealing and tattoos should be covered up. Body piercings, other than earrings in the ear lobes (females only), should be removed for teaching. If in doubt, go conservative!

In combination with our other programs, we have over 300 participants come to China every year, so you’ll never be the only person in town! We will provide you with plenty of opportunities to meet all of our participants.

This will vary from family to family but typically
a workweek under the program is no more than 30 hours interaction with the child, and no more than 6 hours per day. You are also guaranteed 1.5 consecutive days off every week.

As China is a more conservative country when it comes to things such as tattoos and pierching, tops shouldn’t be revealing and tattoos should be covered up. Body piercings, other than earrings in the ear lobes (females only), should be removed when interacting with the child. If in doubt, go conservative!
