Embedded Engineer Intern

Internship Overview:
The intern will join the embedded engineering team in creating automation, wearable smart gear and controls systems.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the VP of Engineering.
- Get hands on experience with documentation and communicating their work and progress to the rest of the team
- Assist the software development team in developing the company’s smart control system
- Design algorithms for safety and monitoring the riders’ behavior
- Talk with potential suppliers for integrating components into future models.
- Increase your project management skills and learn how to create complete products. From creating the initial product and planning, to final product testing and creating the systems necessary to bring it to final production.
- Learn more about the unique characteristics of the automotive engineering field. Learn how to use the rapid iteration style of startups while still ensuring safety and quality
- Effectively work in a multifaceted engineering team
Requirements:
- Strong interest to learn and try new things, has a strong curiosity about embedded systems and design
- Finding quick ways to test theories and solutions
- Good at working with teams and communicating well with them. Able to explain easily what situations to people of different careers and backgrounds.
- Strong documentation skills, able to explain abstract concepts clearly and concisely
- Interest in motorcycles and riding, if you cannot ride yet we are looking for people who have a keen interest in the sport and are eager to learn.
- Strong C and C++ skills
- Familiar with ARM M3 and M4 microcontrollers
- Familiar with AVR microcontrollers is a plus
- Familiar with PCB layout software Kicad or Eagle (Kicad is preferred)
- Good mechanical and analytical skills
