Bird's Nest Tour

Some heartfelt words from the TTC team, who are preparing to wave goodbye to another fantastic group of teacher interns.

As the teaching semester is coming to a close, TTC’ers from Shenzhen to Chengdu to Shenyang are beginning to plan their next move. Some will be returning home to see missed family and friends, others to use the experience as a stepping stone to start their new teaching career. Others will spend the next few months travelling in and around China or further afield to surrounding countries and cultures. Some have enjoyed their time so much they have applied to do another semester with TTC.  As newly qualified TEFL teachers having gained 6 months experience through leading classes of students of all ages, our participants are well equipped for the job market both within China and internationally.

During the semester we have been in regular contact with all of interns as we love to hear what they have been up to, the places they have been and the people they have met. Of course, they are only too happy to share tales of partying (during the school holidays of course!) in Shanghai or having their pictures taken holding a panda cub in the panda research base in Sichuan.

Over the last 6 months our interns have made new friends, seen amazing places and tasted unusual foods. They will all take away fantastic memories of their internship and of course the students they helped over the semester.

Our recent group Skype chat brought together participants from throughout the country to discuss the next step and offer advice on employment and travel.  TTC would like to thank all those who joined and contributed to the chat and to each and every graduate of the teaching internship.  We wish you all the best of luck wherever your future path my lead!
