First Day Of Class| 1 min read

The interns got up bright and early for their first day of class, excited about the prospect of learning.

Some of the TTC staff waited for any lost interns at the coffee shop but the tour from yesterday was such a success that no interns seemed to be lost.

The interns where split into three classes and started, they had class management, vocabulary, grammar, mandarin and self study for the first day. Many an intern were horrified at the grammar and had to refresh their memory.

During the end of the day when the interns had had mandarin lessons, many interns feel in love with the Chinese language. Though many had difficulties with the tones, the teachers made sure sure everyone was chatting with their freshly learnt Chinese by the end of the class.

Interns Thoughts…

The lessons where very straight forward and easy! The second and fourth lessons where brilliant! The mandarin lesson was great, really good! The Canadian teacher taught us grammar but he taught it in a fun and easy manner. – Andrew H.

I loved when the Chinese woman spoke! She was always smiling and saying “hao”. And she got everyone to participate even when they had troubles with the tones. – Andrew H.
