Semester Abroad: A Welcoming Life Abroad!| 4 min read

My name is Emile Bazile and I’m from America. I major in Political Science/International Relations. Growing up, I have always felt a need to travel the world and experience other cultures. Living in New York City, you meet diverse people every day, from all over the world. As I walked through the streets of New York city, I felt as if I traveled to all the countries around the world. New York City has one of the largest conglomerations of mixed citizens in the World.

Although I had never traveled anywhere in the world, my daily excursions created mini countries all throughout New York City avenues. I learned about many other cultures. I grew up with the ideology that is was of great importance to travel to other countries and experience the realities on the other side of the globe. It is a great opportunity to be able to travel and learn and experience everyday reality on the other side of the world.

When I first arrived in China, I felt an immense sense of anxiety. China has a population of more than one billion citizens. There is no greater feeling of anxiety than walking down walk ways, hearing and seeing nothing but Chinese and have no idea how to decipher anything. I began to question why I did not choose Australia or Great Britain where everyone speaks English. Thankfully, the Immerqi Organization set me up with two great employees that had my back through the beginning days. I found myself texting them endlessly in order to figure out my way around Beijing. They are there for you 24/7, my family away from home.

I am an international student at Tsinghua University. Tsinghua University, being one of the top prestigious universities in China, might as well become an official tourist attraction. The campus offered a wide range of courses and an abundance number of clubs to join. Tsinghua University tries to make international students feel as comfortable as possible. There are many students on campus that are very eager to meet other international students and local Chinese students. With everything they have to offer on campus, there is no way you could ever be bored.

It is of the utmost importance to travel the world and experience new memories with random strangers who may become lifetime friends. It has been an amazing experience so far living in Beijing. There are many things to see in Beijing and various types of food in China. I am very grateful for the opportunity and I can say that I have truly falling in love with Beijing.  Who wouldn’t love the opportunity to live and study in another country

I have met so many intelligent students, who have enriched my perspective on life and the world. China is a place that is full of rich culture and history. The citizens are very proud of their country and are very welcoming to internationals.

China is an incredible country that I can guarantee after your first week with ImmerQi, you will be in love with. The food, the people, and the culture grabs its foreigners by the hand, exposing us to the reasons why China has become one of the fastest developing countries in history. The experiences in China will not only broaden your scoop of the world, but also illuminate your mind and soul to the wonders of China.

Living in China for one month, I have met lifetime friends and memories that I will hold dear for the rest of my life. I can only look forward and anticipate for many other surprises. China is an incredible country that I can guarantee, after your first week with Immerqi, you will fall in love with. What I can say through my experiences is that the food, the people, and the culture grabs its foreigners by the hand, exposing us to the reasons why China has become one of the fastest developing countries in the world.
